The B/N High School IDOL was born out of great idea right here at BHS. H.Y.P.E. realized students wanted to show there talent. After 6 yrs. of great talent showcases the program out grew BHS. Now, we have asked 4 other schools to join in on the fun (NCHS, NWCHS, UHS, & CCHS)

Imagine a room of 150 high school students completely silent. One student stands up and begins to speak. He speaks striaght from his heart. He speaks about his life, he speaks about his community, and he speaks about how he and his peers can change the world. Then all 150 students chant "WE MATTER, WE MATTER, WE MATTER..." Don't miss the next HYPE "SLAM"

"THE SLAM" iWrite Creative Writing Campaign

Each year during the prom season H.Y.P.E. has a safety campaign to promote good decision making during the season. To raise awareness the week of prom each student of H.Y.P.E. represents a student that is fatally injured on prom night. they wear signs explaining the circumstances of there demise. We also ask students to sign contracts that they will not use illegal drugs.

H.Y.P.E. says "Don't Drink & Drive"

The H.Y.P.E. program is a collaborative effort between District 87 and Project Oz Social services agency. Project Oz has been serving McLean County for almost 30 years. The goal of H.Y.P.E. is to improve the Bloomington H.S. community while developing our leadership skills through academics and volunteerism.This program is facilated by the School Youth Specialist. Part of Project S.A.M.E. (Students Achieving More Everyday)
