Developing Leadership through Service

In the fall of 2000, a group of students decided to come together in support after hearing some students had issues with depression. As time passed these students began to realize just how huge of a difference that they could make at Bloomington High School. These students dreamed of creating an environment where all students would be accepted. A group that would cross all social, racial, economic, and cultural lines. They would hold themselves accountable to make their school a better place.

Fastforward to 2009. H.Y.P.E. has become a staple in the BHS community. A Leadership & Character Development Program built on the concept of self accountability.

H.Y.P.E. has been vital in helping BHS to become one of the best highschools in the country according to U.S. News and World Report
